About the Organisation Our client is a leading regional financial institution with a strong mandate to support business growth and economic development across the GCC. The organisation is involved in commercial financing, advisory, and investment activities across multiple sectors and jurisdictions. As part of its continued expansion, the in-house legal department seeks a talented General Commercial Lawyer to join its team and provide strategic legal support across a broad range of commercial, financial, and corporate matters. The Role Reporting to the Head of Legal, the successful candidate will be responsible for advising on a range of commercial and banking agreements, managing external counsel, and supporting operational and strategic initiatives. This is a hands‑on role within a highly collaborative and fast‑paced environment, offering exposure to a wide variety of cross‑border transactions and regulatory matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including procurement, vendor, consultancy, and services agreements.
• Support banking and finance teams with loan documentation, security arrangements, and related agreements.
• Provide advice on corporate governance, compliance, and risk management issues.
• Assist with litigation and dispute resolution matters, liaising with external counsel where necessary.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with organisational strategy and regulatory obligations.
• Monitor legal developments across relevant GCC jurisdictions and provide recommendations on best practices.
