Senior Technical HSE Engineer
We are looking to hire a Senior Technical HSE Engineer for a national oil and gas operator in Doha. Must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant post graduate experience of which 6 years should be related to Oil & Gas. Fluency in English.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical design and engineering services in Technical HSE Engineering for all assigned engineering projects.
- Achieve the technical quality of work in accordance with client procedures while considering quality, schedule, cost and HSE.
- Conduct Technical HSE Engineering activities and in-house site surveys for projects from initial concept definition phase through to engineering studies, FEED, detailed design and commissioning.
- Ensure client technical assurance practices, engineering standards, environmental and safety policies are incorporated and followed in work scopes and while conducting Technical HSE Engineering activities.
- Review technical deviations and variations to approved guidelines, codes, standards and practices.
- Support Engineering Department to review, update and apply client standards and client amendments to external standards.
- Plan and coordinate activities of a team of multidisciplinary engineers to provide timely delivery of technical services to meet project requirements.
- Coordinate engineering designs, develop and review multidisciplinary work scopes for projects and other engineering activities.
- Ensure the work scope is comprehensive and clear.
- Review and approve method statements developed by contracted organizations for scope compliance.
- Liaise with contracted organizations to resolve technical issues.
- Develop, update and monitor schedules for in-house engineering activities and contribute to external FEED / EPIC scheduling activities for effective project delivery.
- Conduct evaluation of technical bid packages for scope compliance.
- Review and evaluate contract changes / variations to approved guidelines and practices.
- Support the development of personal technical competency and skills and those of coworkers.
- Participate in structured training for associate engineers.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.Chartered / Professional Engineer status or equivalent is preferable.10 years of relevant post graduate experience of which 6 years should be related to the Oil & Gas industry.Ability to identify and utilize relevant engineering standards and codes related to Technical HSE Engineering.Proven ability to manage time, cost and quality in engineering projects within a multiple project environment.Fluency in English language with good verbal and writing communication skills and proficiency for conducting presentations.Key Skills
