PR & Communications Officer

This position is responsible for providing daily administrative support and being a contributing member of the Public Relations team.

Responsibilities

Assist with the planning and execution of promotional events, press conferences and community outreach initiatives. Coordinate logistics, manage invitations and provide onsite support as needed.
Oversee the creation and distribution of press releases, media kits and other materials.
Update media kits, maintain media database and compile press clippings for monthly reports.
Contribute to strategic planning sessions with ideas and research.
Provide regular departmental status updates and circulate communications meeting notes.
Provide administrative assistance to the PR team including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, preparing LPOs and organizing files and documents. Assist in preparing presentations, reports and other materials as needed.
Ensure that all team members are well‑informed about company news, offers, activities and happenings.

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing or Communications an asset.

Experience in PR, Marketing or Communications preferably in the hospitality industry for at least 2 years.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, highly organized, detail‑oriented and a team player.

Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Highly motivated self‑starter capable of delivering on a diverse range of projects often involving tight deadlines and competing priorities.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Well‑presented and professionally groomed at all times.
