Overview
We are seeking an experienced Safety Officer / HSE professional to ensure the highest safety standards across fabrication, erection, piping, and structural activities on-site. The candidate will implement and enforce company and client HSE policies, conduct inspections and audits, and promote a culture of safety among all workforce levels.

Location : Qatar
Qualification : Diploma / Degree in Engineering or Science
Experience : 5–10 years
Industry : Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Fertilizer, or Refinery Projects
Certifications : NEBOSH IGC / IOSH / OSHA or equivalent (mandatory)
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and enforce company HSE policies, procedures, and client safety requirements at site
- Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits for fabrication, erection, piping, and structural activities
- Identify hazards, assess risks, and recommend corrective and preventive measures
- Monitor Permit-to-Work systems (Hot Work, Confined Space, Work at Height, Lifting operations, etc.)
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety training, and awareness programs for workforce and subcontractors
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safe execution of tasks in high-risk areas
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts / conditions; prepare reports with corrective action plans
- Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, and client safety representatives to maintain safe work practices
- Maintain documentation of HSE records, reports, and compliance as per project and regulatory requirements
- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement at all levels of the organization
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of international HSE standards : OSHA, NFPA, API, OHSAS / ISO 45001Experience with Permit to Work (PTW) systems and HSE practices in EPC projectsProven ability to conduct audits, risk assessments, and incident investigationsExcellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skillsHands-on experience in contracting companies handling fabrication, erection of storage tanks, piping, and structural steelEligibility Criteria
Diploma / Degree in Engineering or Science discipline (preferred)
NEBOSH IGC / IOSH / OSHA or equivalent HSE certification (mandatory)
Minimum 5–10 years of experience as a Safety Officer in Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Fertilizer, or Refinery projects
