Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or related fields.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial analysis, pricing, finance or business development roles.
- Prior exposure to the defense industry.
- Strong expertise in pricing models, cost analysis and project costing.
- Advanced financial modelling skills for feasibility studies and commercial business case development (ROI, NPV, payback, etc.).
- Market analysis and benchmarking skills within the defense industry supply and demand landscape.
- Proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of contractual and commercial terms in project proposals.
- Ability to interpret and present complex financial data to support decision‑making.
Responsibilities
Build pricing structures and cost breakdowns for project proposals.Analyze financial data, budgets and cost drivers to ensure accuracy, competitiveness and profitability.Support profitability assessments and scenario analysis to optimize margins and ensure sustainable commercial outcomes.Prepare feasibility studies and commercial business cases of potential projects.Develop financial models to evaluate risks, opportunities and returns.Perform market benchmarking to assess supply, demand and competitor pricing trends.Lead price negotiations with suppliers and partners to secure favorable terms.Prepare negotiation briefs and terms summaries to support decision‑making and negotiation strategies.Collaborate with internal teams (BD, Finance and Operations) to align pricing and commercial strategies with business objectives.Market Intelligence & Strategy
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify commercial opportunities, pricing trends and potential risks impacting contracts and revenue streams.Gather, analyze and interpret market data, industry reports and customer insights to support commercial strategies and contract negotiations.Monitor competitor activities, market movements and regulatory changes to provide timely intelligence to the Commercial and Contracts manager.Provide data‑driven recommendations to optimize pricing models, contract terms and go‑to‑market strategies.Prepare presentations and strategic briefs for senior management to facilitate contract review, bids and commercial proposals.Key Skills
