Librarian

Librarian for an International School in Ar-Ruwais, Egypt

We are seeking a highly organized and knowledgeable Librarian to join our reputable international school in Ar-Ruwais, Egypt. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the school library and providing access to educational materials for students and faculty. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1300$ per month.

Responsibilities : - Organize and maintain the school library, including books, magazines, and other educational materials. - Develop and implement library policies and procedures to ensure efficient use of resources. - Assist students in finding appropriate reading materials for their age and interests. - Collaborate with teachers to incorporate library resources into lesson plans. - Conduct research for students and faculty upon request. - Manage check-out system for books and other materials. - Keep inventory of all library materials and order new items as needed. - Promote literacy through book clubs, reading challenges, and other activities. - Train students on how to effectively use the library resources.

Requirements : - Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field. - Proven experience working in a library setting. - Knowledge of cataloging systems and library software. - Familiarity with current educational resources and trends in children's literature. - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
