الوصف الوظيفيBachelor’s in mechanical engineering; A chartered engineer is or working towards it Minimum 15 years of experience in the oil and gas onshore / offshore industry, both brownfield and greenfield, that includes a minimum of facilities design (front-end, conceptual, and detailed design) and a minimum of 5 years in project execution, including construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance (including field troubleshooting) Well conversant with piping stress analysis software (Caesar II), Pvelite & CodeCal, layout studies, material specifications and root cause failure analysis. Knowledge of international codes and standards Computer literacy : Ability to operate standard computer software, such as Microsoft applications Logic thinking and analytical skills Good presentation, communication, and written skills. Interpersonal ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams. Aptitudes for taking the initiative Working knowledge of company business processes and regulatory requirements Managing and measuring work using appropriate metrics and key performance indicators
mselect is looking to hire a Senior Piping Engineer for a oil and gas operator in Doha, Qatar . Candidates must have a minimum of 15 years of experience in the oil and gas onshore / offshore industry, both brownfield and greenfield, that includes a minimum of facilities design (front-end, conceptual, and detailed design). Fluency in English is a must.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for analyzing, determining the root cause of failure and recommending remedial solutions to ensure proper troubleshooting of reported problems on piping and Static discipline
- The Senior Piping / Static engineer is required to support maintenance, asset integrity, operations, with their daily activities, manage the concept / FEED / EPC design work for asset development projects carried out by Contractors and that are managed in-house, provide all asset-related inputs to the major project team with respect to piping / Static discipline
- Key accountabilities include ensuring efficient project implementation, proactive facility improvement, and technical integrity in conjunction with the client’s standards and Shell DEP for surface facilities specific to piping / static discipline
