mselect is looking to hire a Senior Piping Engineer for a oil and gas operator in Doha, Qatar . Candidates must have a minimum of 15 years of experience in the oil and gas onshore / offshore industry, both brownfield and greenfield, that includes a minimum of facilities design (front-end, conceptual, and detailed design). Fluency in English is a must.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for analyzing, determining the root cause of failure and recommending remedial solutions to ensure proper troubleshooting of reported problems on piping and Static discipline
- The Senior Piping / Static engineer is required to support maintenance, asset integrity, operations, with their daily activities, manage the concept / FEED / EPC design work for asset development projects carried out by Contractors and that are managed in-house, provide all asset-related inputs to the major project team with respect to piping / Static discipline
- Key accountabilities include ensuring efficient project implementation, proactive facility improvement, and technical integrity in conjunction with the client’s standards and Shell DEP for surface facilities specific to piping / static discipline
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering; A chartered engineer is or working towards itMinimum 15 years of experience in the oil and gas onshore / offshore industry, both brownfield and greenfield, that includes a minimum of facilities design (front-end, conceptual, and detailed design) and a minimum of 5 years in project execution, including construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance (including field troubleshooting)Well conversant with piping stress analysis software (Caesar II), Pvelite & CodeCal, layout studies, material specifications and root cause failure analysis. Knowledge of international codes and standardsComputer literacy : Ability to operate standard computer software, such as Microsoft applicationsLogic thinking and analytical skillsGood presentation, communication, and written skills.
