Job Description

Painter

This position is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the hotel’s interior and exterior surfaces to ensure a clean, attractive, and welcoming environment. This role focuses on quality workmanship and timely completion of painting and surface preparation tasks, supporting the overall maintenance and appearance of the hotel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and filling holes or cracks to ensure proper paint adhesion.
• Apply paint, varnish, stains, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, doors, windows, and furniture using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Maintain the hotel’s aesthetic standards by ensuring clean, smooth, and even paint finishes on all assigned surfaces.
• Conduct routine inspections and touch-ups on painted surfaces to address wear and damage.
• Remove old paint and wallpaper as needed for renovation or maintenance projects.
• Use ladders, scaffolding, and lifts safely to access high or hard-to-reach areas.
• Coordinate with the engineering and maintenance teams to schedule painting work without disrupting hotel operations.
• Ensure all painting work complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain painting tools, equipment, and inventory of supplies; report needs to supervisor.
• Document work completed and report any maintenance issues discovered during painting.
