Mechanical Technician

Job Description

Key Responsibilities :

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, compressors, gearboxes, valves, piping systems, and other mechanical equipment.

Inspect mechanical systems and components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair.

Install new mechanical equipment and assist in system upgrades and modifications.

Read and interpret technical drawings, mechanical schematics, and manuals.

Troubleshoot mechanical faults and recommend effective solutions.

Dismantle and reassemble equipment using appropriate tools and techniques.

Align and balance rotating equipment.

Maintain records of maintenance activities and report issues to supervisors.

Adhere to safety procedures and standards during all maintenance activities.

Coordinate with other departments (e.g., electrical, instrumentation, operations) for efficient maintenance planning and execution.

Requirements

Qualifications :

Education : ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical field.

Experience : 2–5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in an industrial or process plant setting.
