HSEQ Director

We are seeking a highly experienced HSEQ Director with extensive offshore operational experience to lead our HSEQ function. The Head of HSEQ will be responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving safety, environmental, and quality systems across offshore projects, ensuring compliance with international standards and fostering a culture of safety and operational excellence. Duties & responsibilities : Strategic Leadership : Develop and execute the company’s HSEQ strategy aligned with offshore operational goals. Lead the implementation of an Incident and Injury-Free (IIF) workplace culture. Ensure alignment of HSEQ policies with international standards (ISM, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001). Compliance & Auditing : Manage internal and external audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews. Monitor changes in legislation and industry standards, updating systems accordingly. Ensure vessel operations comply with SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, and flag state requirements. Stakeholder Engagement : Act as the primary HSEQ liaison with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies. Support vessel crews and shore teams with technical guidance on safety and compliance. Operational Oversight : Oversee HSEQ performance across offshore assets and major projects. Ensure approved HSEQ plans are implemented during project start-ups and shutdowns. Conduct formal investigations into incidents and ensure corrective actions are taken. Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree or any relevant higher diploma in Safety management Master Mariner Certificate of Competency. Proven experience in managing HSEQ systems in offshore industry. Minimum 10 years of experience in offshore operations, including at least 5 years in leadership position. Seniority level
