Job Summary :
The Civil Foreman / Chargehand will oversee and coordinate daily civil construction activities at site, ensuring that all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, drawings, and QHSE standards. The role involves supervising site crews, managing materials and equipment, and liaising with engineers and supervisors to meet project timelines and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
Supervise and direct civil construction teams (masons, steel fixers, carpenters, and helpers) on site.
Ensure that all civil works (concrete, formwork, masonry, steel fixing, finishing, etc.) are executed as per approved drawings and project specifications.
Monitor progress and provide daily reports to the Site Engineer / Site Supervisor.
Coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment to achieve daily targets.
Ensure strict compliance with safety procedures and permit-to-work systems.
Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
Assist in identifying and resolving any site issues or technical deviations.
Communicate effectively with project engineers and other disciplines for smooth execution of work.
Maintain housekeeping and ensure safe working conditions at the site.
Qualifications & Experience :
Education : Diploma or Technical Certificate in Civil Engineering (preferred).
Experience : Minimum 5 years of experience in Oil & Gas construction projects.
Skills :
Strong supervision and leadership abilities.
Good understanding of civil drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of concrete works, shuttering, rebar fixing, and finishing activities.
Familiarity with safety standards and procedures.
Language : Basic English (speaking and reading) required.
