Job Description

Achieves budgeted goals by executing sales activities within assigned market segment.

Assists in the development of annual sales goals.

Assists in the completion of monthly booking report.

Ensures own function operates within cost restraints.

Maintains effective correspondence.

Meets budgeted sales and profit margins for group business, by soliciting, selling, and confirming business as required.

Develops data and recommends programs to meet clients’ needs.

Prepares proposals with the Director of Sales that are geared to maximize profit while satisfying guest needs.

Utilizes the “Winning Edge” sales techniques.

Solicits files on a timely basis to confirm business.

Uses outside sales calls to solicit existing and new guests.

Conducts on-site client inspections and entertainment weekly.

Contacts in-house guests to foster additional business, repeat bookings, or referrals to other Radisson Hotels.

Coordinates activities related to booked business with other departments.

Communicates guests requests to all departments in an effective and timely manner.

Ensures maximum occupancy on a daily basis by performing follow-ups on progress of groups booked with Front Office.

Increases sales volume and profitability by assisting in developing and executing projects for assigned market areas as stated in the Hotel Marketing Plan.

Keeps Sales Department informed of group booking status.

Communicates with Front Office Manager all group VIP’s for appropriate service.

Qualifications

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in hotel sales or hospitality industry sales management.

Demonstrated success in achieving room, banquet, and event sales targets.

Strong understanding of local, corporate, travel agent, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) markets.

Excellent ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, travel partners, and corporate accounts.

Experience leading, training, and motivating a sales team to exceed revenue goals.

Skilled in creating and implementing effective sales and marketing strategies to drive business growth.

Strong presentation, networking, and contract negotiation abilities.

Hands‑on experience with hotel sales systems and CRM tools.

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Self‑motivated, well‑groomed, and able to work under pressure, including weekends or evenings as required for events.
