Job Description
Through your passion and motivation, you sell memorable experience to guests who stay in your property. You are professional and knowledgeable about your property, and you build strong relationships and create bond with your guests.
Participate in sales activities and events and assists Director of Sales in successful achievement of budget in forecasted room, banquet and F&B revenues and other revenue generation areas and indeed all hotels within the Accor Group. Drives revenue to achieve Hotel’s topline goals of the hotels by proactively soliciting all business segments; to include new business from small business accounts, sourcing new accounts, identifying new targets, and re-soliciting past business leads.
- Assists the Sales Team and Director in achieving the sales target
- Solicits group, transient and / or banquet business, and reach consistent achievement of sales objectives
- To take part in all sales‑related activities, and to effectively sell all aspects of the hotel.Participates in tradeshows, conventions and promotional events.
- Develop new and maintain existing business accounts through the preparation and execution of action plans. Including establishingparameters, quotes and negotiate prices and seal contracts
- Develop and maintain contact with local business generators, meeting and convention planners, Visitors / Convention Bureau, travel agents, tour operators, airlines, corporate accounts and other procedures closely.
- Analyze local market trends and competitor activity to recommend strategies that keep the hotel a leader in the marketplace through the development of future and repeat business
- Develop and maintain customer accountsto drive business into the hotel and to increase market / customer share in all revenue streams
- Negotiate room rates and packages with corporate clients
- Promptly respond to customer queries in a professional manner, maintaining high level standards of service and client relationships.Handle the issues regarding to accounts / potential accounts as assigned.
- Conduct sales calls to existing and prospective accounts as per areas assigned by DOS.
- Maintenance of all sales activities and account information in the Sales Database.
- Maintain high profile within the travel industry and foster relationships with accounts in the Market.
- Ensure companies of which you are responsible are being tracked in accordance with their room night targets on a monthly basis and report as per the guidelines set out by the DOS.
- Preparation of weekly / monthly reports as requested Director of Sales.
- Conduct site inspections and host familiarization visits when required.
- Attendreview meetings with Sales Team and Management to discuss results versus goals in the annual sales call plan and company sales strategy.
- To be flexible to carry out other duties and assignments as requested by the DOS.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field is advantageous. Relevant certifications or training in sales techniques, and negotiation skills can strengthen candidacy. Significant work experience and proven track of record.
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Excellent communication & organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities
Motivated & results oriented team player. Highly proactive & determined
Valid Qatar Driving license
