Job Purpose
The Order Taker is responsible for receiving guest or customer orders accurately and efficiently via phone or in person, inputting them into the system and ensuring timely communication with the kitchen and service teams. The goal is to provide a smooth professional service experience that meets or exceeds guest expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Answer incoming calls promptly and courteously following company service standards.
Accurately take and record food beverage or service orders using the designated system.
Provide detailed information about menu items, promotions and specials when requested.
Confirm order accuracy with guests and repeat back for confirmation.
Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to ensure timely preparation and delivery.
Handle guest inquiries, special requests or complaints in a professional and efficient manner.
Monitor the status of orders and follow up as necessary to ensure guest satisfaction.
Maintain a clean and organized work area including any order‑taking equipment.
Adhere to hygiene, safety and grooming standards.
Perform administrative or support duties as needed.
Qualifications : Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or communication‑related training is a plus.
Previous experience in a similar role or customer service environment preferred.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Proficient in using point‑of‑sale (POS) or order entry systems.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and professional in high‑pressure situations.
