Senior Document Controller

Overview

Purpose Assist in implementing and managing the document control process throughout the EPC phase of major projects. Ensure all project documentation is managed, controlled, and archived efficiently until final handover to operations. Key Accountabilities

Support the Lead Document Controller and Senior Document Controller in implementing document management procedures during the EPC phase. Manage and archive final documentation ensuring completeness and compliance. Coordinate with contractors and project teams to maintain accurate document control workflows. Lead and mentor other document controllers as part of a team. Ensure all documentation complies with project standards and quality requirements. Key Responsibilities

Promote and comply with safety and HSE procedures in all activities. Lead document control teams confidently and independently make decisions within scope. Maintain confidentiality of all project information. Manage electronic and hard-copy project documentation in accordance with established numbering, workflows, filing plans, and archive standards. Maintain and update the project’s document management system (e.g., MANASA). Provide training and support to project staff on document control systems and procedures. Conduct quality checks on contractor-issued documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards. Participate in project meetings and liaise closely with contractor document controllers. Provide timely and accurate document control reports and statistics for project reporting. Proactively suggest improvements to document control processes and tools. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Lead Document Controller or management. Qualifications & Experience

Proven experience in document control within large-scale EPC projects, preferably in oil and gas or related heavy industries. Strong knowledge of document management systems and control processes. Ability to lead and coordinate a team of document controllers. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Ability to work independently and under pressure in a multi-contractor environment. Familiarity with project management tools and electronic document management systems (e.g., MANASA). Commitment to HSE standards and workplace safety.
