JUNIOR LAWYER (Qatari National only)

The environment is highly international, with the presence of several oil majors in the country, significantly increasing competition among these IOCs. Qatar is developing an impressive number of projects in the energy sector. Key Responsibilities

: General Legal Support : Assist in drafting correspondence and legal documents; Provide day-to-day legal support to various departments within the Affiliate, including HR, CSR, COM, Finance, Operated Asset, and OBO, under the supervision of the Legal and Corporate Governance Manager; Respond to ad hoc legal inquiries and requests for advice from internal stakeholders; Ensure timely and correct commercial registration of TotalEnergies’ entities in Qatar, and assist with all corporate-related matters; Support in creating training materials for Affiliate-wide legal compliance education. Legal Research and Analysis

: Conduct legal research relevant to the oil and gas industry, including legislative changes and industry regulations; Prepare summaries and memoranda on legal findings for the Legal and Corporate Governance Manager. Contract Review and Management

: Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts such as service agreements, non-disclosure agreements, real estate agreements, and employment agreements; Ensure contracts comply with Affiliate policies and legal requirements; Maintain organized records of all contracts and related documents. Regulatory Compliance

: Support monitoring and ensuring compliance with relevant local, national, and international laws and regulations; Perform legal watch activities and identify new laws affecting TotalEnergies' activities in Qatar. Corporate Governance

: Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards and best practices, especially concerning joint ventures where TotalEnergies has interests. Document Management

: Assist in managing legal department documents and records; Organize and maintain confidential legal files. Litigation Support

: Support litigation processes by organizing documents and coordinating with external counsel as needed. Education :

Bachelor’s degree in law or equivalent from an accredited law school, with a strong academic record and interest in corporate law, contracts, and regulation. Professional Experience :

0-2 years PQE. Behavioral Competencies :

Good organizational skills, attention to detail, adaptability, strong communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively or independently. Technical Competencies :

Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills; ability to clearly convey information and arguments.
