Job Summary
Ensures efficient running of the Stewarding department, contributing to the overall success of all restaurants and events, in accordance with the hotel's standards and financial goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the stewarding supervisor with cleaning of F&B equipment, facilities, and utensils, and returning cleaned items to the appropriate area.
- Maintain cleanliness of all washing equipment and ensure it is in proper working order; report faults to the supervisor.
- Understand and adhere to HACCP responsibilities.
- Maintain full liaison and strong communication with the Stewarding team and other hotel departments, especially Culinary and Event Team.
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with Chefs and F&B associates.
- Use cleaning materials and chemicals efficiently and economically.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
- Advise on and follow fire and safety precautions, including operation of kitchen firefighting equipment.
- Attend training sessions and departmental meetings as scheduled.
- Ensure standards are maintained at a superior level daily.
- Answer guest needs promptly, maintaining positive guest relations.
- Familiarise with all hotel services, features, and local attractions to respond accurately to guest inquiries.
