Telecommunications Commissioning Engineer - Offshore

Job Description

• Plan, supervise, and execute the installation, testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover of telecommunication systems.
  
• Conduct and coordinate FAT and SAT activities for CCTV, ACS, PA/GA, PABX, IP telephony, UHF/VHF radio, telemetry, and AIS systems.
  
• Prepare, review, and approve engineering drawings, technical documents, method statements, test procedures, and contractor deliverables.
  
• Manage commissioning activities from the engineering stage through site execution, system integration, troubleshooting, final acceptance, and project handover.
  
• Ensure all activities comply with approved project specifications, industry standards, HSE requirements, and risk-management procedures, including HAZID and SIMOPS.
  
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams while managing site resources, schedules, technical issues, and progress reporting.
  

Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering.

* Minimum 12–15 years of telecommunications commissioning experience, including at least 8–10 years in onshore or offshore oil and gas facilities.

* Proven experience in FEED and EPIC greenfield and brownfield projects, covering telecom engineering, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.

* Strong knowledge of CCTV, ACS, PA/GA, PABX, IP telephony, UHF/VHF radio, telemetry, and AIS systems, with proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, Visio, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.

* Strong communication, coordination, technical writing, planning, and leadership skills, with willingness to travel and work at client locations worldwide.

* Must have BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS and Basic H2S certification
