Department Overview

The Infrastructure and Operations Department is responsible for ensuring reliable, resilient, and highly available technology infrastructure that supports continuous healthcare and life-science research operations.

The department focuses on maintaining the stability, continuity, integrity, security, and availability of critical infrastructure and technology services. It also provides technical leadership in implementing and maintaining modern infrastructure solutions designed to meet demanding healthcare and research environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintain enterprise infrastructure and operational technology services.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and continuity of critical infrastructure.
• Monitor infrastructure performance and identify potential issues proactively.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related incidents and service disruptions.
• Support the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of infrastructure technologies.
• Ensure infrastructure services meet organizational availability, performance, and security requirements.
• Participate in infrastructure improvement, modernization, and technology enhancement initiatives.
• Support business continuity and disaster recovery requirements for critical systems.
• Maintain infrastructure integrity and ensure appropriate operational controls are in place.
• Coordinate with internal IT teams, vendors, and other stakeholders for infrastructure-related activities.
• Contribute to technology standards, procedures, documentation, and operational best practices.
• Assist with identifying opportunities to improve infrastructure resilience, efficiency, and service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and applicable healthcare/technology standards.

Key Competencies

• Strong infrastructure and IT operations knowledge.
• Experience working in enterprise environments with high availability requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring, incident management, and service continuity.
• Understanding of business continuity and disaster recovery principles.
• Ability to work effectively with technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
• Strong communication, documentation, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work in a highly structured and service-critical environment.

Preferred Background

• Experience in healthcare, life sciences, large enterprise, or other mission-critical environments will be an advantage.
• Experience supporting highly available and resilient IT infrastructure.
• Relevant technical certifications would be an advantage.
