Support company operations through ongoing monitoring, analysis, and improvement of the Advanced Process Control (APC) schemes to ensure optimized operational performance and asset integrity.
Key Accountabilities
APC Monitoring & Improvement
Monitor and analyse the mid and long-term technical performance of APC against internal and external benchmarks to ensure ongoing optimisation.
Identify recurring APC problems and/or limitations and proposes initiatives to ensure the development of sustainable solutions and capture various optimization opportunities.
Participate and lead Management of Change (MOC) for advance process control related changes, support other plant, and process changes from a process control perspective.
Track mid and long-term process technical performance using – among others – predefined and agreed technical and economical KPIs and assesses process control impact on the actual performance.
Provide guidance to Operations on the general and long-term advance process control strategy for specific units or sub-units to ensure optimized units.
Conduct internal and external process control and APC studies to ensure company alignment to industry leading practices.
Ensure that the ethylene unit and other units’ APC are optimized and operating at high uptime.
Participate and help lead the digital transformation initiatives for company.

Contribute to the identification of opportunities for the continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices in order to increase productivity and operational efficiency.
Implement all relevant Section’s policies, processes, procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Quality, Health, Security, Safety and Environment
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and relevant quality, health, safety, security and environmental procedures and controls across the Department to guarantee employee safety and delivery of high-quality products/services.
Reporting
Contribute to the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet departmental requirements, policies, and standards.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or Control Engineering
Preferred:
Experience
Required: Minimum 5 years of experience in the O&G Industry, out of which 3 years at an Analyst level in Advanced Process Control. Required ethylene and polyethylene manufacturing experience.
Preferred: Experience in Petrochemicals Industry
