JUNIOR ELEVATOR MAINTENANCE SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians with the maintenance and repair of elevators and escalators.
  
• Perform routine inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and adjustment of elevator components.
  
• Support troubleshooting of basic electrical and mechanical faults.
  
• Check doors, buttons, indicators, switches, safety devices, and operating systems.
  
• Assist in replacing defective components, cables, switches, and other parts.
  
• Maintain tools, equipment, and spare parts in proper working condition.
  
• Complete maintenance checklists and report identified faults to the senior technician.
  
• Follow safety procedures, technical instructions, and manufacturer guidelines.
  
• Attend breakdown calls and emergency maintenance activities with the service team.
  
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in machine rooms, shafts, pits, and work areas.
  

Requirements

Requirements

• Diploma or ITI qualification in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or a related technical field.
  
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in elevator or escalator maintenance.
  
• Basic knowledge of electrical wiring, mechanical components, control systems, and safety devices.
  
• Ability to use hand tools, testing instruments, and maintenance equipment.
  
• Ability to understand basic electrical drawings and technical instructions.
  
• Willingness to learn and work under the supervision of senior technicians.
  
• Physically fit and comfortable working in elevator shafts, pits, and machine rooms.
  
• Good teamwork, discipline, and communication skills.
  
• GCC or Qatar experience is preferred.
  
• Immediate availability with a valid QID is preferred.

Requirements
Physical Fitness: Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials; work in confined or elevated spaces. Experience: Previous experience in insulation work is an advantage but not always required for helper roles. Knowledge: Basic understanding of insulation materials, tools, and techniques (training is usually provided for helpers). Team Player: Willingness to work under supervision and assist skilled workers. Work Conditions: Comfortable working in cold environments, outdoors, or at heights. Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions; basic understanding of workplace safety signs and labels.
