Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced IT Network Technician to handle the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation of IT and network infrastructure, including copper and fiber cabling, network equipment, servers, and end-user devices.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and document passive cabling infrastructure, including copper and fiber, across Data Centers, IDF rooms, and user workstations.

• Ensure passive cabling installations comply with relevant industry standards and best practices.

• Install, connect, configure, and troubleshoot switches, routers, servers, PCs, IP phones, printers, and other IT peripherals.

• Ensure the smooth operation of servers, networks, and other IT infrastructure.

• Monitor system and network performance and resolve issues to maintain optimal functionality.

• Maintain proper cabling, labeling, patching, and documentation within Data Centers and IDF rooms.

• Troubleshoot Layer 1 network connectivity issues.

• Demonstrate strong knowledge of CAT6 copper cabling and fiber optic cables.

• Perform CAT6 crimping and fiber splicing.

• Maintain and troubleshoot UPS systems, including DC UPS.

• Maintain records and logs of repairs, troubleshooting activities, and preventive maintenance schedules.

• Identify shortages of IT and network equipment and report them to the concerned authority.

• Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets, including switches, routers, IPTV setup boxes, IP phones, and other infrastructure components.

• Support project requirements involving server installation, rack and stack activities, test environment setup, and equipment configuration/modification.

• Work independently as well as collaboratively with the IT and network teams.

• Provide effective technical support and maintain good communication with users and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma in Information Technology (IT) or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as an IT Network Technician, Network Technician, or in a similar role.

• Strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and IT infrastructure.

• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.

• Working knowledge of:

  • TCP/IP

  • LAN & WAN

  • VLANs

  • VPN

  • Routers & Switches

  • Network monitoring tools

  • System performance tools

• Good understanding of IT security principles and best practices.

• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, CCNA, or Microsoft certifications will be an advantage.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high proficiency in English.

• Knowledge of Arabic will be an added advantage.

• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
