Pump Technician – Oil & Gas

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Pump Technician to carry out installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of various types of pumps and rotating equipment used in oil & gas and petrochemical facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of centrifugal, reciprocating, screw, gear, and other industrial pumps.
• Dismantle, inspect, repair, overhaul, and reassemble pumps and associated equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical faults, vibration, leakage, alignment, and performance issues.
• Carry out pump shaft alignment, mechanical seal replacement, bearing replacement, and coupling maintenance.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Conduct routine inspections and identify potential equipment failures.
• Assist with installation, commissioning, and testing of pumps and rotating equipment.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and according to approved procedures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and report equipment conditions to supervisors.
• Follow HSE, permit-to-work, lockout/tagout, and oil & gas site safety requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma / ITI / Technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience as a Pump Technician / Mechanical Technician in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or Process Plant industry.
• Strong hands-on experience with industrial pumps and rotating equipment.
• Knowledge of mechanical seals, bearings, couplings, pump alignment, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
• Good knowledge of industrial safety procedures and practices.
• Oil & Gas / refinery maintenance experience is highly preferred.
