Coating Quality Controller
Job Description
We are Sisco Jobs, a recruitment consultancy based in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. We are hiring for the position of Coating Quality Controller in Qatar. We are seeking skilled and motivated professionals with practical experience in coating inspection, production supervision, and related coating activities. Candidates must possess a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification along with NACE Level 1 or FROSIO certification. Key Responsibilities
- Perform coating inspections during surface preparation, application, curing, and final acceptance stages.
- Monitor coating production activities to ensure work is carried out according to approved procedures and quality requirements.
- Inspect surface cleanliness, surface profile, environmental conditions, and coating application parameters before and during coating operations.
- Measure and record wet film thickness and dry film thickness using appropriate inspection instruments.
- Verify coating materials, batch numbers, mixing ratios, pot life, shelf life, and application conditions.
- Identify coating defects and coordinate corrective actions with production personnel.
- Maintain coating inspection reports, quality records, checklists, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure coating activities comply with applicable project specifications, inspection procedures, and recognized coating standards.
Required Skills
- Coating Inspection: Practical ability to inspect surface preparation, coating application, curing, and final coating condition.
- NACE/FROSIO Standards: Working knowledge of coating inspection principles covered under NACE Level 1 or FROSIO certification.
- Surface Preparation Inspection: Ability to assess surface cleanliness, surface profile, and preparation conditions before coating application.
- Coating Thickness Measurement: Experience using suitable gauges to verify coating thickness against specified requirements.
- Quality Documentation: Ability to prepare inspection reports, record observations, identify non-conformities, and maintain coating QC records.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with industrial coating inspection instruments.
- Knowledge of coating defect identification and corrective actions.
- Experience coordinating coating inspection activities with production teams.
Work Experience Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in coating inspection, production supervision, and related coating activities is required. Candidates should have hands-on exposure to industrial coating operations and quality inspection activities.
Education
Minimum: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Preferred: NACE Level 1 / FROSIO Certification
Additional: NACE Level 1 or FROSIO certification required
