Senior CNC Machine Operator

Job Description

We are Sisco Jobs, a recruitment consultancy based in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. We are hiring for the position of Senior CNC Machine Operator in Qatar. The requirement is for an experienced CNC professional with a strong background in shipyards, heavy fabrication, shipbuilding, or offshore structure fabrication. Candidates should have hands-on CNC machine operating experience and the technical ability to work accurately in demanding fabrication environments. Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machinery used for heavy fabrication and structural manufacturing activities.
  
• Set up CNC machines and verify operating parameters before production.
  
• Interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, cutting requirements, and fabrication specifications.
  
• Monitor CNC machining operations to maintain dimensional accuracy and production quality.
  
• Perform routine machine inspections and identify operating abnormalities or equipment issues.
  
• Ensure fabricated components meet required tolerances and quality specifications.
  
• Follow applicable safety procedures while operating CNC machinery in shipyard and heavy fabrication environments.
  
• Coordinate with fabrication, production, maintenance, and quality teams to support production targets.
  

Required Skills

1. CNC Machine Operation: Strong hands-on ability to safely set up and operate CNC machinery.
   
2. Engineering Drawing Interpretation: Ability to understand fabrication drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.
   
3. Heavy Fabrication: Practical knowledge of CNC operations within heavy fabrication environments.
   
4. Shipbuilding / Offshore Fabrication: Relevant exposure to shipyard, shipbuilding, or offshore structural fabrication activities.
   
5. Machine Inspection & Troubleshooting: Ability to monitor CNC equipment, identify abnormalities, and support basic troubleshooting.
   

Preferred Skills

• CNC machine setup and parameter adjustment.
  
• Experience working with large structural fabrication components.
  
• Knowledge of dimensional inspection and fabrication quality requirements.
  

Work Experience Requirements

Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience as a CNC Machine Operator in shipyards or heavy fabrication industries. Candidates holding Secondary Education should have 4+ years of CNC machine experience in shipbuilding or offshore structure fabrication.

Education

• Minimum: ITI or Trade Apprenticeship
  
• Alternative: Higher Secondary Education or Secondary Education subject to the specified relevant experience requirement
