Fund Financial Controller - Offshore Opportunity

Our client is a global fund who is looking for a fund controller to work between finance, tax, legal and the investment team to manage the fund transactions and the life-cyle of investments. This roles is technical accounting paired with investment transactions. Responsibilities include :

1. Cross-functional coordination between Finance, Tax, Legal, Investment, Treasury, and external advisors during acquisitions, disposals, restructurings, and strategic investments.
2. Evaluate and challenge proposed investment structures from financial, accounting, tax, regulatory, and commercial perspectives.
3. Assess the accounting implications of complex transactions under IFRS and recommend optimal accounting treatments.
4. Review transaction documents, shareholder agreements, financing arrangements, and investment structures to ensure alignment with financial reporting objectives.
5. Coordinate due diligence activities and ensure findings are appropriately reflected in transaction execution and post-deal integration plans.
6. Manage relationships with external advisors, tax consultants, legal counsels, valuation specialists, and corporate service providers.
7. Support investment teams in structuring new investments, fund vehicles, holding companies, SPVs, joint ventures, and cross-border transactions.
8. Ensure compliance with internal governance requirements, regulatory obligations, and tax policies. The Tax Policy notes the importance of transaction structures recommended by external tax, financial, and legal advisors.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant, with 10 years plus experience working in Big 4, Investment Funds, PE, Private Credit or Deal advisory. Strong technical accounting, corporate finance and transaction advisory experience is required for this role.
