Position: Group Chief Executive Officer (Group CEO)
Location: Doha, Qatar (with responsibility for Iraq operations)

About the Role

Our client, is seeking an accomplished Group Chief Executive Officer (Group CEO) to lead a diversified business group with operations across multiple sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving strategic growth, operational excellence, and long-term value creation while overseeing business operations in Qatar and Iraq.

This role requires a visionary leader with extensive experience managing diversified businesses, leading executive teams, and delivering sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Group's long-term vision and strategic objectives.
• Provide executive leadership across multiple business sectors, including Real Estate Investment & Development, Manufacturing, Hospitality, Education, and other diversified businesses.
• Drive business expansion, profitability, and operational excellence across all business units.
• Identify new investment opportunities, partnerships, and business ventures.
• Lead, mentor, and develop executive leadership teams and senior management.
• Oversee financial performance, budgeting, risk management, and corporate governance.
• Ensure effective coordination and performance of operations in Iraq while based in Doha.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with shareholders, board members, government authorities, clients, and key stakeholders.
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or a related field. MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is highly preferred.
• Minimum 20 years of progressive leadership experience, including significant experience as a CEO, Group CEO, Managing Director, or Executive Director.
• Proven experience leading diversified business groups or large conglomerates.
• Demonstrated success in business transformation, expansion, and organizational growth.
• Strong commercial, financial, and strategic leadership capabilities.
• Experience managing multicultural executive teams across multiple business sectors.
• Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Experience working within the GCC and exposure to Iraq or regional markets is highly desirable.
• Arabic language skills are preferred but not mandatory.
