AMI System Operator

• Monitor and manage AMI systems including Head End System (HES) Meter Data Management (MDM) and communication networks.
  
• Ensure continuous and seamless communication between smart meters and central systems.
  
• Identify troubleshoot and resolve AMI system issues related to connectivity data flow and performance.
  
• Perform first-level diagnosis of communication failures and network performance issues.
  
• Escalate complex or unresolved technical issues to higher support levels or vendors as per procedures.
  
• Analyze AMI operational data and generate system performance insights and reports.
  
• Coordinate with IT metering telecom and field teams to ensure system reliability.
  
• Support system configuration updates and minor enhancements under supervision.
  
• Maintain system logs incident records and operational documentation.
  
• Ensure compliance with ISO ISMS BCMS and cybersecurity policies.
  
• Adhere to corporate Health & Safety and operational procedures.
  
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
  

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering IT or related discipline.
  
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in AMI system monitoring MDM/HES operations or similar environments.
  
• Proficiency in AMI systems and operational software tools.
  
• Knowledge of smart metering technologies and communication protocols.
  
• Strong analytical reporting and coordination skills.
  
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  
• Written and spoken English is essential; Arabic is preferred.
  

Required Skills:

NEBOSH IGC Certification (Mandatory) Previous experience working on QE shutdown projects Minimum 35 years of relevant HSE experience in Oil & Gas Petrochemical or Industrial projects Strong knowledge of occupational health safety regulations and risk management practices Excellent communication and reporting skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced shutdown environment
