Primary Purpose of the Job

Supervises the operations of gas production and gas wellhead treatment plants.

Reviews and summarises plant data for past 24-hour period/day, plans gas production activities, weekly and monthly reports.

Assist Planning engineers in setting priorities and follows upon, day to day maintenance work with appropriate personnel, authorizes hot and cold work permit.

Participates in planning shutdown maintenance, inspection and work over schedules with relevant parties, taking into consideration production availability.

Develops schedules with subordinates for planned shifts based on rotation.

Drafts, discusses and implements approved policies and procedures covering work systems, plant operations and reporting requirements.

Prepares the section's budget covering forecasts of annual expenditure in the categories of new capital and extraordinary items, transport, manpower, service equipment and ordinary revenue requirements.

Required Experience and Skills

13 years of experience including 3 years at a supervisory level.

Educational Qualifications

Diploma in Chemical Engineering or similar engineering
