Electrical Technicians
Electrical Technician Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults to minimize downtime.
- Install test and commission electrical equipment motors panels and control systems.
- Conduct inspections and routine checks on electrical installations.
- Maintain MCCs switchgear transformers VFDs and motor control circuits.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Carry out cable laying termination and electrical connections.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures permit-to-work requirements and electrical standards.
- Record maintenance activities and prepare service reports.
- Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure reliable plant performance.
- Assist in shutdown turnaround and emergency maintenance activities.
- Maintain housekeeping and ensure tools and equipment are used safely and properly.
Required Skills:
Physical Fitness: Ability to lift carry and move heavy materials; work in confined or elevated spaces. Experience: Previous experience in insulation work is an advantage but not always required for helper roles. Knowledge: Basic understanding of insulation materials tools and techniques (training is usually provided for helpers). Team Player: Willingness to work under supervision and assist skilled workers. Work Conditions: Comfortable working in cold environments outdoors or at heights. Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions; basic understanding of workplace safety signs and labels.
