Job Title: Senior Architect (Design) UPDA Certified

1. Purpose of the Role

To lead and manage architectural design activities across construction projects ensuring high-quality compliant and coordinated design deliverables aligned with project requirements local regulations and international standards.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Design Leadership

• Lead architectural design development from concept to detailed design stage.
  
• Ensure all designs align with project brief client requirements and budget constraints.
  
• Review and approve architectural drawings specifications and material selections.
  

B. Coordination & Integration

• Coordinate with structural MEP and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions.
  
• Manage design interfaces between consultants contractors and internal stakeholders.
  
• Resolve design conflicts and technical issues proactively.
  

C. Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) and local authority requirements.
  
• Liaise with authorities for design approvals and submissions.
  
• Maintain adherence to international codes and best practices.
  

D. Construction Support

• Provide technical support during the construction phase.
  
• Review shop drawings material submittal and RFIs.
  
• Conduct site visits to ensure design implementation is accurate.
  

E. Quality & Documentation

• Maintain high standards of design quality and documentation.
  
• Ensure timely delivery of design packages as per project schedule.
  
• Participate in design reviews and value engineering exercises.
  

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Architecture (Masters preferred).
  
• UPDA/MMUP Certification (Grade A or B preferred).
  
• 1012 years of experience in architectural design within construction projects.
  
• Strong experience in design consultancy or contractor design teams.
  
• Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD Revit BIM tools etc.).
  
• Strong knowledge of local regulations in Qatar.
