Linum Consult’s client is seeking an Asset Management Advisor with a background in water/wastewater/drainage assets to join their team in Qatar.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Advising and supporting the Drainage Networks Operations & Maintenance Manager to make the DNO&M Department a positive contribution towards achieving the company’s mission and corporate strategy objectives
- Advising and supporting the DNO&M Manager by providing expert technical, strategic, and operational advice on all aspects of Asset Management within the DNO&M
- Advising on improvements on risk management, operational output and performance within various departments to ensure the DNO&M’s services objectives are achieved and sustained
- Playing the lead role in ensuring the company’s Vision & Values become part of the culture of the DNO&M Department
- Providing an ongoing review of objectives, risks, and KPIs, and taking actions for development and improvement
- Ensuring that the department’s plans and performance are within the approved budget and timescales by reviewing progress reports on the department’s performance as and when needed
- Ensuring the highest standards of professional conduct, ethics, and integrity are maintained during the execution of your responsibilities
PROFILE
- Degree qualification in Engineering obtained from a North American, West European or Australian University, preferably with accreditation from the Institute of Asset Management (IAM), and ideally have a Chartered Membership to a relevant discipline (C.Eng, P.Eng or P.E.)
- 30 years’ experience in the water, wastewater industries, ideally within the public sector
- Substantial experience of international Asset Management best practices
- Knowledge and experience of change management and/or business transformation is preferred
- Demonstrable history of creating and embedding a new asset management department
- Strong IT skills, particularly with MS Office
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage with key stakeholders, senior executives, management teams, and external partners/advisors
- Previous experience of working in Qatar and/or other Gulf countries is preferred.
