Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Head of Venue Technology Delivery to lead the planning, deployment, and delivery of advanced technology solutions across sports venues, stadiums, and large-scale event environments. The role is responsible for managing end-to-end project lifecycles, ensuring successful delivery of venue technology projects, and supporting major sporting and entertainment events through innovative technology solutions.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ICT, AV, ELV, smart venue technologies, project management, and stakeholder engagement within sports or large-event environments.

Key Responsibilities

Venue & Event Technology Delivery

• Lead venue technology projects from concept through implementation, commissioning, handover, and operational transition.
• Manage RFP preparation, tender activities, vendor evaluation, contract administration, and post-award coordination.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, reports, plans, and governance artifacts.
• Oversee project execution in collaboration with vendors, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Develop integrated project plans and define technical and functional requirements for stadiums, venues, arenas, clubs, and event facilities.
• Ensure technology solutions meet operational, engineering, security, and event delivery requirements.
• Support venue operations teams, customers, and event organizers in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Monitor project progress, risks, budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
• Ensure contract compliance and successful vendor performance throughout project delivery.
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project outcomes.

Delivery Resource Planning & Governance

• Manage and report on all Venue Technology project activities and deliverables.
• Provide regular project and program updates to senior leadership.
• Participate in service review meetings and vendor governance sessions.
• Lead and coordinate internal delivery teams to ensure alignment of project requirements, designs, and implementation plans.
• Optimize resource allocation and project scheduling across multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to agreed quality standards.

Technology Leadership

• Provide technical leadership on venue technology solutions including ICT, AV, ELV, and smart venue systems.
• Ensure integration of technology platforms across venues and event environments.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve venue operations and event experiences.
• Support strategic planning for future venue technology initiatives.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Certifications (Mandatory)

• PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification
  OR
• PRINCE2 Certification

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Information Technology.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in technology delivery, project management, or venue technology leadership roles.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in sports venue, stadium, arena, or major event technology environments (Mandatory).
• Proven experience delivering large-scale ICT, AV, and ELV projects.
• Experience managing technology deployments for smart stadiums, sports venues, convention centers, or mega-events.
