The Commercial &Estimating Associate will report into the Commercial Manager to provide supportrelated to commercial and estimating activities. The incumbent will support thedevelopment of the estimating activities and provide estimating support fordaily operational needs, will help define and then deploy commercial processesin line with business requirements.The incumbent will also undertake thecompilation of estimates and other detailed costing information in support ofestimating, pricing, and tendering activities.

Estimating, Contracts and Reconciliation

• Manage the compilationof estimates and other detailed costing information to support the estimatingpricing and tendering activities.
• Manage estimatingactivities whilst providing support to contract administrationactivities.
• Manage the generationof the Estimating information that forms part of the detailed contract changeproposals, ensuring robust control of inputs and sign off.
• Support thecompilation of proposals that address the potential impact on deliveryperformance, and this is recognised within the contractual measures.
• Ensure allAssumptions, Exclusions and Dependencies are clearly communicated andintroduced into the contract as necessary.
• Compiling and owningestimates that underpin business activities.
• Support LifecycleManagement (LCM) process including Annual Reviews with appropriate updates toManagement Plans.
• Collecting andpreparation of commercial and contract data to support senior management in thereview of cost and contractual issues.
• Articulate theEstimating Methods and Processes to a high-quality standard.
• Lead the planning,management, and approval of cost estimates, including appropriate challenge andvalidation as well as change management.
• Provide advice andguidance on Estimating practices, to the BSL Head Office Team.
