Job Purpose

• As a Procurement Supervisor you will be responsible for sourcing equipment parts goods and services and managing vendors. The successful candidate will be able to perform strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of spend search for better deals and find more profitable suppliers.
• You will be responsible for day-to-day supervision of the procurement operations of other procurement officers and store keepers.
• You will supervise procurement function review prices and quality discuss and negotiate with different suppliers for best terms and conditions quality assurance and supplies control.
• For this role you should have very good knowledge of market research along with solid analytical skills to make sure you’re identifying the most profitable offers.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist procurement manager in developing and execution of procurement strategies.
• Train and supervise the work of other staff members
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
• Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation
• Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
• Perform cost and scenario analysis and benchmarking
• Assess manage and mitigate risks
• Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
• Determine quantity and timing of deliveries
• Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
• Implement procurement strategies to maintain security of supply and optimum value for money.
• Perform all procurement and contracting activities including pre-qualification tender management negotiation and preparation of contracts.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement in Qatar with at least 2 years in a supervisory role preferably in the power generation cooling systems or related industries.
