Role Overview
The Associate Director – Infrastructure leads end-to-end delivery of major infrastructure projects, supporting public and private sector clients across the full infrastructure lifecycle. This role focuses on strategic planning, financial structuring, transaction advisory, and client engagement while fostering team leadership and contributing to business development initiatives.
Primary Job Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Lead the delivery of complex infrastructure advisory projects including strategy development, feasibility studies, business cases, financial modeling, procurement, and transaction execution. Advise clients on infrastructure financing structures and project delivery models such as PPP, Design-Build, and Design-Build-Finance. Develop and assess investment strategies, value-for-money analyses, and risk evaluations to support informed client decisions. Oversee multiple engagements simultaneously while ensuring on-time, high-quality, and budget-aligned deliverables. Manage project teams by providing leadership, delegation, feedback, and mentoring to junior staff. Identify market trends and new opportunities, support proposal development, and contribute to practice growth. Build and maintain strategic relationships with government agencies, private sector partners, investors, and advisors. Contribute to knowledge-building and visibility through whitepapers, presentations, and participation in industry events. Ensure adherence to internal risk management protocols and external regulatory requirements. Promote a high-performance, inclusive, and collaborative team culture. Uphold professional integrity, confidentiality, and delivery excellence across all client engagements. Communicate complex financial and strategic insights clearly to senior stakeholders. Maintain strong attention to detail and demonstrate resilience in high-pressure situations.
Qualification And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, finance, economics, public policy, or a related field. MBA, CPA, CFA, CAIA, or other relevant postgraduate qualification preferred. 8–12 years of experience in infrastructure advisory, project finance, or transaction structuring. Experience in consulting, investment banking, engineering, or a government infrastructure agency. Proven success in managing and closing infrastructure transactions. Strong capability in developing and reviewing financial models for capital-intensive projects. Ability to independently lead client-facing projects and multi-disciplinary teams. Expertise in PPP models, procurement processes, and infrastructure financing mechanisms. Strong leadership and project management skills with a track record of team development. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to senior stakeholders. Business development experience with an entrepreneurial approach to identifying new opportunities. Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain performance under pressure. Domain expertise in sectors such as transportation, energy and utilities, or social infrastructure.
