Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as an Airfield Lighting Technician / Electrician
• Proven experience working on airfield lighting systems or high-voltage electrical systems
• Construction industry experience is mandatory

Eligibility

• Applicant must be locally available in Qatar
• Must hold a valid Freelance Visa

Job Responsibilities

• Install test maintain and repair airfield lighting systems and associated high-voltage electrical power and distribution equipment
• Perform work on electrical systems above 600 volts following approved safety procedures
• Install service and repair generators transformers switchboards control panels controllers circuit breakers motors heating units and conduit systems
• Carry out fault diagnosis and troubleshooting on airfield lighting and power distribution systems
• Read and interpret electrical drawings blueprints layouts and technical specifications
• Perform electrical load calculations and verify wiring and equipment capacity
• Use electrician hand tools and measuring and testing instruments such as multimeters insulation testers and high-voltage test equipment
• Ensure all work complies with electrical codes aviation standards project specifications and site safety regulations
• Coordinate with project teams to support construction and maintenance activities
• Maintain proper documentation inspection records and maintenance reports

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of airfield lighting systems and high-voltage electrical installations
• Sound understanding of electrical safety standards for systems above 600V
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and basic electronic control circuits
• Good mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical skills
• Familiarity with construction site safety and aviation-related electrical systems
