Deputy Finance Manager

Position: Deputy Finance Manager

Educational & Professional Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification CPA / ACCA / CA (or equivalent) is strongly preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 35 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting within a QCB-regulated exchange house bank or financial institution.
• Proven experience in financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Hands-on involvement in year-end closing audits and regulatory submissions.

Technical & Regulatory Knowledge

• Strong working knowledge of International Accounting Standards (IAS/IFRS).
• Sound understanding of Qatar Central Bank (QCB) regulations regulatory reporting requirements and compliance frameworks.
• Experience in implementing and monitoring internal controls and financial policies.
• Practical exposure to foreign currency transactions liquidity management and exchange house operations is an advantage.

Financial & Analytical Skills

• Strong capability in financial analysis variance analysis budgeting and forecasting.
• Experience in preparing management reports.

Systems & Digitalization

• Proficient in ERP systems and financial software.
• Practical understanding of finance digitalization automated reporting and process improvement initiatives.

Leadership & Operational Skills

• Demonstrated ability to supervise finance teams review work output and ensure adherence to deadlines.
• Capability to mentor junior staff and manage daily finance operations effectively.
• Proven ability to act as Finance Manager delegate during absences ensuring continuity of operations and approvals.

Personal & Professional Competencies

• High level of accuracy attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Ability to work under tight regulatory and reporting deadlines independently.
• Strong organizational time-management and multitasking skills.

Language & Communication

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Arabic language skills are an advantage.
