Responsibilities:

• Check loads to be moved, estimate size, shape, weight and center of gravity, and make sure that loads do not exceed lifting capacities of cranes.

• Attach lifting devices to hoisting equipment and items to be moved, using clamps, hooks, bolts, and knots

• Choose/Select the proper slings, lifting gears and other grappling devices, covering sharp corners with padding to prevent damage to slings.

• Continually alert for people, or objects which may come in the path of the load, where the load is not visible to crane or winch operators, hand signals, whistles or two-way radios are used.

• Guide loads into position as they are lowered.

• Lifting and shifting/moving Heavy equipment, large size pipes and control valves etc. with very large capacity cranes size up to 500T.

Qualifications:

• Secondary(12years)certificate.PreferablyITI(IndustrialTrainingInstitute)certificate holder

• 07yearsrelevantandhands-onexperienceinOil&Gas/Petrochemical/Fertilizer industry and competency*

• ValidRiggingcertificatefromcompetentandcertifiedagency
