Senior Telecom Engineer

Contract Role : Senior Telecom Engineer Overview : A contract opportunity for a Senior Telecom Engineer to support a major onshore oil and gas project in the Middle East. The role involves managing telecom systems infrastructure, providing technical expertise, and supporting project delivery in a multi-disciplinary environment. Key Responsibilities : Operate and control telecom system hardware / software across LAN / WAN platforms. Configure tools for provisioning, testing, and deployment of telecom infrastructure. Plan and implement system installations and maintenance, including virtual environments. Produce system designs and specifications, considering performance, security, and cost. Manage the full lifecycle of telecom systems including upgrades and migrations. Lead small-scale projects and sub-projects, managing risks and issues. Diagnose and resolve telecom-related incidents. Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. Minimum 6 years of IT experience in the oil and gas sector, with 4 years in project roles. Strong project management, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Advanced knowledge of engineering software tools and telecom standards. Fluent in English (written and spoken). Contract Details : Start Date : Q3 / Q4 2025 Duration : 24 months Location : Onshore sites in Doha & Ras Laffan Schedule : 5 working days per week
