Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Safety Officer / HSE professional
to ensure the highest safety standards across fabrication, erection, piping, and structural activities on-site. The candidate will implement and enforce company and client HSE policies, conduct inspections and audits, and promote a culture of safety among all workforce levels. Position :

5–10 years Industry :
Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Fertilizer, or Refinery Projects Certifications :
NEBOSH IGC / IOSH / OSHA or equivalent (mandatory) Key Responsibilities
Implement and enforce
company HSE policies, procedures, and client safety requirements
at site Conduct regular
site safety inspections and audits
for fabrication, erection, piping, and structural activities Identify hazards, assess risks, and recommend
corrective and preventive measures Monitor
Permit-to-Work systems
(Hot Work, Confined Space, Work at Height, Lifting operations, etc.) Conduct
toolbox talks, safety training, and awareness programs
for workforce and subcontractors Ensure proper use of
PPE
and safe execution of tasks in high-risk areas Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts / conditions; prepare
reports with corrective action plans Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, and client safety representatives to maintain safe work practices Maintain documentation of
HSE records, reports, and compliance
as per project and regulatory requirements Promote a culture of
safety and continuous improvement
at all levels of the organization Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of international HSE standards :
OSHA, NFPA, API, OHSAS / ISO 45001 Experience with
Permit to Work (PTW) systems
and HSE practices in EPC projects Proven ability to conduct audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Hands-on experience in contracting companies handling
fabrication, erection of storage tanks, piping, and structural steel Eligibility Criteria
Diploma / Degree in Engineering or Science discipline (preferred)
NEBOSH IGC / IOSH / OSHA
or equivalent HSE certification (mandatory)
Minimum
5–10 years of experience
as a Safety Officer in Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Fertilizer, or Refinery projects
