Reach stacker operator
As a Reach Stacker Operator you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating reach stacker equipment to move stack load and unload shipping containers and heavy cargo within the yard and terminal. Youll play a critical role in optimizing yard operations while maintaining high safety standards and equipment care.
Key Responsibilities
Operate reach stacker machinery to handle containers and cargo in yard and storage areas.
Load and unload containers from trailers chassis and vessels as required.
Position and stack containers accurately according to yard plan and safety procedures.
Perform daily pre-operation inspections of equipment and report defects.
Follow yard traffic rules and operate in compliance with safety guidelines.
Communicate with yard supervisors forklift operators and drivers to coordinate movements.
Ensure proper documentation and tagging of containers moved.
Assist in yard housekeeping and maintaining clear paths for equipment.
Report any accidents near misses or unsafe conditions to supervision immediately.
Adhere to company policies procedures and regulatory requirements.
