Workshop Maintenance Planner

Position: Workshop Maintenance Planner

Purpose: This position is responsible for planning and coordinating workshop maintenance activities for the company's bus fleet ensuring efficient use of resources minimal downtime & compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Job Summary: The incumbent goal is to plan and coordinate workshop maintenance activities ensuring optimal vehicle uptime and minimal downtime.

Main Responsibilities & Tasks

• Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans & schedules for the fleet ensuring optimal vehicle uptime and minimal downtime
• Lead the planning and scheduling of all workshop maintenance & repair activities balancing fleet performance with operational requirements
• Ensure all maintenance tasks are prioritized effectively and completed within agreed timelines
• Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as vehicle downtime repair costs & maintenance backlog
• Analyze performance data identify trends and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency & reduce costs
• Prepare and maintain detailed reports on maintenance performance budgets & KPIs for senior management review
• Manage and supervise the workshop planning team ensuring effective workload distribution & highperformance standards
• Monitor and manage the utilization of resources including labor materials & equipment to ensure efficient workshop operations
• Ensure accurate recordkeeping of maintenance activities and equipment history
• Ensure compliance with Mowasalat's safety quality and regulatory standards overseeing the proper documentation & reporting on maintenance activities
• Collaborate with fleet management to understand operational needs and adjust plans to ensure fleet reliability
• Identify and resolve any issues in the planning & of maintenance activities
• Stakeholder Management and Leadership
• Provide leadership and support to the workshop planning team ensuring effective communication & task completion
• Establish and maintain relationships with external contractors & vendors for specialized services and support
• Build and maintain good customer & supplier relationships ensuring high levels of satisfaction and cooperation

Minimum Required Qualifications Certificates & Skills

Qualifications (e.g. Education)

• At least Diploma in a relevant field (e.g. engineering logistics operations management)

Work Experience (e.g. Number of years and field / role)

• Minimum 5 years of experience in planning or logistics role preferably in a maintenance or transportation environment

Certificates & Trainings

Any relevant certification or training such as:

• Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP)
• Lean Six Sigma Certification
• Maintenance and Repair Management Certification
