Director of Engineering

We are seeking a visionary and experienced Director of Engineering to join our team at Swissotel Corniche Park Towers Qatar. As a key member of our senior leadership you will drive innovation lead multiple engineering teams and oversee critical projects that shape the future of our organization.

• Develop and execute strategic engineering initiatives aligned with organizational goals
• Lead and mentor a diverse team of engineering professionals fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
• Oversee multiple complex engineering projects ensuring timely delivery quality and budget adherence
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product development and process improvements
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to solve complex engineering challenges
• Manage departmental budgets and resources effectively
• Stay at the forefront of industry trends and emerging technologies
• Implement and maintain robust quality control processes and safety standards
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including clients and partners
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and methodologies
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Engineering (e.g. Mechanical Electrical Civil) or related field; advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D.) preferred
• 10 years of progressive experience in engineering roles including significant time in senior management positions
• Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale complex engineering projects
• Strong technical knowledge across multiple engineering disciplines
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop talent
• Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills
• Superior communication and interpersonal abilities
• Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and execution
• Strong business acumen and financial management skills
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools
• In-depth understanding of industry standards regulations and best practices
• Ability to drive technological advancements and process improvements
• Passion for innovation and a commitment to continuous learning
• Experience working in a global multicultural environment is a plus
