Senior Legal Counsel (Corporate & Commercial)

We are seeking an experienced and business-oriented Senior Legal Counsel (Corporate & Commercial) to provide expert legal support across corporate governance compliance investment and commercial operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in corporate and commercial law with a proven track record in transactional activities M&A and regulatory compliance within financial or investment sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft review and negotiate corporate commercial M&A and investment contracts.
  
• Lead corporate governance and compliance programs ensuring alignment with applicable laws regulations and best practices.
  
• Oversee due diligence legal documentation and transactional processes to safeguard the companys interests.
  
• Provide strategic legal advice on corporate structure commercial operations and investment activities.
  
• Collaborate with executive leadership on policy and procedural development to strengthen compliance frameworks.
  
• Develop and standardize contract templates for corporate and commercial use.
  
• Manage and mitigate legal risks across all business operations.
  
• Support strategic initiatives in coordination with the Chief Legal Officer ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
  
• Oversee legal budget and resource optimization to ensure efficient departmental operations.
  
• Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders promoting legal integrity and corporate values.
  
  

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

• Bachelors Degree in Law (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) required.
  
• Masters degree in Business Law Governance or Compliance is an advantage.
  

Experience:

• 810 years of experience in a similar or related field.
  
• At least 3 years supporting both commercial and corporate functions within finance investment or corporate governance.
  
• Experience in an international law firm or reputable organization with a focus on corporate governance compliance and investments preferred.
