Valve Technician

Responsibilities

• Carry out dismantling inspection servicing and reassembly of a wide range of valves including:
  

  • Butterfly Valves (Block 20)
    

  • Globe Valves (Block 20 / ST21 / ST22)
    

  • Gate Valves (Block 20 / ST21 / ST22)
    

• Inspect internal components such as seats discs stems seals packing and body condition.
  

• Perform valve lapping grinding seal replacement packing adjustment and reconditioning.
  

• Conduct hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure tests as per project or OEM requirements.
  

• Verify valve stroke movement and operational smoothness after assembly.
  

• Ensure proper installation and alignment when fitting valves back into the system.
  

• Read and understand P&IDs isometric drawings datasheets and OEM manuals.
  

• Assist in troubleshooting valve leaks seat damage corrosion stuck movement and mechanical faults.
  

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Trade.
  

• Minimum 35 years experience in valve maintenance and repair.
  

• Hands-on experience with:
  

  • Butterfly Valves
    

  • Globe Valves (ST21 ST22)
    

  • Gate Valves (Block 20 ST Series)
    

• Experience in oil & gas refinery petrochemical or heavy industry preferred.
