Lead Mechanical Engineer (Static)

• Location: Doha Qatar
  
• Duration: 3 months extendable

The successful candidate will be responsible for assigned mechanical engineering work as per the project scope reporting to the Discipline Lead Engineer and Discipline Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform conceptual FEED and detailed engineering and design as per design basis project specifications and client procedures.

• Be familiar with relevant design and analysis software.

• Prepare and/or perform the following deliverables as per project scope:
  • Mechanical Data Sheet

  • Equipment Specifications

  • Material Requisition for Inquiry and Purchase

  • Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) and Tabulation

  • Vendor Document Review (VDR)

  • Design calculations as per applicable international standards like API 650 API 620 ASME Sec VIII div 1 and 2

  • Equipment GAD Nozzle orientation drawing detailed fabrication drawing (as applicable in scope)

• Possess working knowledge of SHELL DEP (preferred).

• Have experience in attending progress reviews design reviews and clarification meetings with the client.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A professional degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• A minimum of 15 years of experience in oil and gas with a major contractor or consultant.

• Strong background in design engineering including performing conceptual FEED and detailed engineering.

• QatarEnergy Refinery-related project execution experience is preferred.

Note: We will only consider profiles with a focus on design engineering. Profiles related to maintenance/supervisor or site-related are not considered for this position.
