Mechanical Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on marine engines including inboard and outboard engines.
  
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues in various marine systems such as propulsion electrical fuel and hydraulic systems.
  
• Conduct inspections of marine vessels to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
  
• Replace or repair damaged or wornout parts including engines transmissions propellers and other components.
  
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new marine systems and equipment.
  
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed including repairs maintenance and inspections.
  
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and offering maintenance advice.
  
• Test and calibrate equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  
• Assist with the ordering and inventory management of parts and tools.
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or a degree in marine technology/mechanics is preferred.
  
• Proven experience as a Marine Mechanic or similar role.
  
• Strong knowledge of marine engines systems and tools.
  
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  
• Good problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
  
• Ability to work in a fastpaced dynamic environment.
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
