ELECTRICAL WORKSHOP TECHNICIAN

Job Responsibilities Receive inspect and diagnose faults in a wide range of electrical equipment brought into the workshop (e.g. power tools control panels test equipment). Use schematics manuals and diagnostic tools (multimeters oscilloscopes) to troubleshoot to the component level. Repair or replace faulty components such as relays contactors switches capacitors and PCB assemblies. Perform skilled tasks including soldering wiring and assembling electrical components and enclosures. Calibrate instruments and equipment to ensure they meet original manufacturers specifications. Conduct rigorous safety and performance tests on all repaired items before release. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all inspections repairs parts used and test results. Manage workshop inventory order necessary spare parts and ensure stock levels are maintained. Keep the workshop clean organized and safe ensuring all tools and equipment are in good working condition. Fabricate and wire custom control panels or modify equipment as per engineering drawings.
